Betting tips and match preview | Barclays Premier League

West Ham welcome Manchester United in an emotional encounter as the Hammers prepare to say goodbye to their home for over 100 years tonight.

They have been at the ground since the 1904/05 season and to be saying goodbye after that length of time will be an emotional occasion but they will have a fantastic new venue at the Olympic Stadium to call home from now on.

The Hammers come into this fixture on the back of a 4-1 drubbing at home against Swansea at the weekend and they will be looking to improve on that result with a home win against United.

West Ham’s form in the Premier League this season has been excellent, they have won 15 matches this season and despite last weekends surprise loss they are still in the running for a Europa League spot with wins in their remaining matches.

They find themselves in 7th position in the Premier League and with the in form Liverpool only one point behind them and in excellent form they will need to win their two remaining matches to guarantee a European spot next season.

West Ham’s final fixtures are against United and Stoke City. They are also looking for their 16th win in 37 matches this season and their 9th win and final win at the Boleyn Ground.

Winning May Not Be Enough For Van Gaal

Louis Van Gaal’s men come into this match in great form in the Premier League after winning against Norwich 1-0 last weekend.

This has been a mediocre season for United but despite this they find themselves just two wins away from securing Champions League football next year and a further win could see them win their first FA Cup since 2004/05.

It remains to be seen whether this would be enough to keep Louis Van Gaal in his job beyond this season, with many expecting Jose Mourinho to be in charge next season.

They have a great record in their last six matches and have just two games remaining. They remain on 63 points and are just three points ahead of Southampton but they will be looking to catch neighbours Manchester City and relegate them to the Europa League in what would be Pep Guardiola’s first season in charge.

Their remaining fixtures see them face West Ham and Bournemouth, with Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, these fixtures could be crucial to defining the Louis Van Gaal tenure but whatever the results he could well depart.

United will be looking for their 19th win in 37 games this season and are looking to secure just their 8th away win of the campaign.

West Ham head into this fixture with a record of two wins, three draws and one defeat in their last six matches. United have a record of one defeat, one draw and four wins in their last six matches.

Both teams are 8/13 on to score. The first goalscorer odds for West Ham are Andy Carroll at 6/1 with Dimitri Payet at 15/2. For United Marcus Rashford is at 5/1 with Wayne Rooney at 6/1.

The last meeting between the two sides at the Boleyn Ground was a 1-1 draw and the odds of the same result are 11/2.
