Betting tips and match preview | FA Cup

West Brom welcome Derby to the Hawthorns in the third round of the FA Cup, with the big boys now entering proceedings.

Tony Pulis’ side come into this match in great form, with another win against Hull City, 3-1 also at home.

Robert Snodgrass (21) continued his excellent season and finished where he left off, scoring the opening goal for the Tigers.

That was as good as it got for Hull though, with Chris Brunt (49), Gareth McAuley (62) and James Morrison (73) scoring three second half goals.

It’s another excellent result for Tony Pulis’ side, who have now risen up to 8th in the Premier League table.

West Brom Looking Forward

West Brom have been in excellent recent form, they have had a poor run of fixtures, facing United, Chelsea and Arsenal in their last six matches.

The results against Chelsea, Arsenal and United won’t have hampered them too much, with a win against Southampton an excellent marker for them.

They will be looking to build on their excellent season, with a cup run another excellent incentive for Pulis and his side.

Baggies Favourites

Rams In Great Form

Steve McClaren’s side come into this match on the back of a hefty defeat, with a 3-0 defeat away at Norwich.

Nelson Oliveria was the hero, with the forward easing the mounting pressure on manager Alex Neil with a stellar hat-trick.

The forward scored goals in the 15th, 78th and 80th minute to give the Canaries a much-needed win after dropping all the way to 9th in the table.

It’s a defeat that sees the Rams remain outside of the top six, trailing Sheffield Wednesday by two points.

Rams In Good Form

Burnley come into this match in excellent recent form, despite the loss they have remained unbeaten in the previous five.

They had completed wins against Birmingham, QPR and bitter rivals Nottingham Forest, with draws against Wigan and Fulham.

Steve McClaren has done an excellent job since returning back to the club, restoring the Rams to the verge of the play offs.

Derby Underdogs

Derby come into the match as underdogs, with the leagues difference and home advantage counting against the Rams.

They will be looking to register their fourth win in seven matches, this Premier League scalp would be huge for McClaren.

McClaren’s side will be looking to improve their recent and overall records against West Brom, with the Rams struggling of late against the Baggies.
