Wales to Beat Belgium, 15/1!
Wales are the last men standing from the home nations and take on Belgium tonight in their Euro 2016 Quarter Final match. Belgium, unsurprisingly, go into the match as hot favourites. However, Wales have surpassed expectations already this tournament. Can they take it one step further and keep the dream alive?
With the exception of a group stage defeat to England, Wales have shown themselves to be relatively formidable in the campaign. In their opening game against Slovakia they made a statement of intent and picked up the three points through goals from Gareth Bale and Robson-Kanu.
Bale was in amongst the goals in their next fixture, putting the ball passed Joe Hart from a free-kick. Even though it was a rather poor misjudgement from Hart, Bale’s strike was still sweet enough to beat the England keeper. Wales will have felt that they could have gotten more from the game with England scoring the winner in the dying embers of the game.
Since that defeat Wales have brushed aside Russia and forced their way past Northern Ireland to reach the quarter finals. Whilst they have never got this far in a competitive tournament, they do look to have enough talent in their squad to give Belgium a run for their money.
After a pretty tame showing against Italy, Belgium have found their feet in the tournament and it is easy to see why they’re favourites going into this fixture. However, they have not had to deal with the world class talent of Gareth Bale this far which makes the 15/1 price for Wales to win offered by BetonBrazil is a price not to miss out on.
