Rotherham v Wolves, December 5, 3.00pm
A close game betting wise with the away side going in as slight favourites priced at 13/10. The home side, Rotherham can be backed at 8/5. The draw is available at 9/4.
Rotherham have had a rough season so far and sit second bottom of the league. They have managed four wins so far and had a convincing 3-0 victory against Bristol City last time out. They’ve had back to back wins which gives them hope to climb out of the drop zone before the new year. They will be wary of the fact that they have a couple of away fixtures after this weekend so will be wanting to continue their winning form into this home fixture. The game is a winnable one, but they will be hard pressed to pick up the three points.
Wolves only managed to pick up three points from their four games last month. They will have felt they could have turned at least one of their three draws into a victory which would have given them a bit of a brighter outlook in the overall standings. They didn’t manage to score last time out at home to MK Dons, a fixture they feel they should be winning. Nevertheless they are six points clear from the drop so can feel fairly comfortable if they manage to pick up some wins over the coming weeks. They have a couple of home fixtures ahead of them after the fixture so will be looking to start December off with a win, showing intent for the coming festive period.
I think both teams will be content with the draw, and it gives the best value in the betting. I think this fixture will end a stalemate.
Correct score: 0-0 – 8/1
