Reading v Walsall, January 30, 3.00pm
Championship side and hosts this weekend are odds on favourites and can be backed at 5/6. The travelling side, League Two Walsall, are the outsider price of 10/3. The draw is priced at 5/2.
Reading were held to a draw away to Huddersfield in the last round of the FA Cup. The 2-2 draw forced a replay where Reading won 5-2 at the Madejski. Reading were 2-0 down after a quarter of an hour, but Piazon pulled one back before half time. Vydra went on to score a second half hat-trick to give Reading the lead the scoring was topped off by Fernandez Iglesias in stoppage time. Vydra also got on the scoresheet in the first leg and is one to look out for in the betting.
This is second Championship side Walsall have come up against in this seasons FA Cup. In the last round they got an away win against Brentford, seeing them off 1-0. Mantom got the only goal of the game in the 34th minute but was then subsequently sent off in the 67th minute. Nevertheless Walsall held on for the win. They were forced to a replay in the second round of the cup against Chesterfield. The tie went all the way but Walsall went through on penalties. In the first round Walsall won comfortably againts Fleetwood 2-0 in the first round.
I think Reading will come out on top. To enhance the odds I’m putting Vydra on the scoresheet as well.
Vydra to score and Reading to win – 3/1
