Thursday the 21st of January sees another heap of racing action taking place. In England Southwell, Ludlow, Wincanton and Chelmsford take centre stage while theirs one meeting in Ireland in Gowran Park.
Another good day for my followers yesterday’s when my nap KADRIZZI won well @ odds of 2/1. My each way selection THEKINGOFCONNEMARA ran a huge race but just got touched off into second @ odds of 13\2. Let’s hope I can find you some more winners today.
The first horse I like is ZAMA ZAMA (nap) 3.40 at Ludlow. From the Evan Williams stable this horse was a winner here at Ludlow back in November and has not been seen since. This is arguably a tougher race today and although the very heavy ground would not be ideal for my selection I feel he has enough quality to beat this field anyway. He jumped very well on his last run also and I feel he can win here again today. Adam wedge is the man in the saddle this afternoon.
The next horse I like is THE JOB IS RIGHT(nb) e/w 3.10 at gowran park. From the Michael hourigan stable this horse made up eye catching ground in the closing stages to finish fifth at leopardstown over Xmas. Since then he finished fourth at Punchestown in a hurdle race over an inadequate trip. If I’m being honest I don’t feel he was tried too hard that day and I reckon he’s been saved for todays big money contest. Their is sure to be a strong early gallop and provided he sits at the rear early doors he should be staying on at the finish and should go very close. Ground and trip will be ideal. Mark Enright rides.
The other horse I like is FREUD 6.10 at Chelmsford. This horse got going too late two starts back at Kempton and eventually came home in fourth but he put that right at the weekend when he won over course and distance in a weaker race. Despite his six pound penalty he will carry tonight for that victory I felt the manner of that win suggests he’s a horse to follow. Provided he’s over his weekend exertions he will be very difficult to beat here.
Good luck everyone
