Monday the 11th of January sees racing action coming from Wolverhampton and Kempton on the all weather tracks.
All three of my selections were winners on Saturday with my nap MOUNTAINOUS winning the Welsh national in fine style@ odds of 9/1. My other two selections OTAGO TRAIL @ 6/5 and HOMBRE ROJO @ 10/11 also ran out comfortable winners, hope you all got on! I did not fancy anything in yesterday’s action so let’s hope we can keep this run going today with these selections.
The first horse I like today is TIJUCA (nap) 3.25 at Wolverhampton. From the Ed Giles stable this horse has been in good form of late winning here at Wolverhampton three starts back before following that up with two placed efforts at Kempton where he was a shade unlucky not to win last time out. The trip and track will suit him and provided he is produced a bit earlier today he should be able to take care of this field with Kieran ONiell the man in the saddle.
The next horse I like is KALAMATA (nb) 2.55 at Wolverhampton. From the Roger Varian stable this horse has had three starts to date in maidens finishind down the field in all his runs, however I feel like he was crying out for a step up in trip which he gets today and provided he settles better I expect him to show up well here on his handicap debut. Jack MIitchell is the man on board and I expect him to go very close.
The other horse I like is ROYAL NORMANDY 4.10 at Kempton. From the stable of Andrew Balding this horse was a winner last time up here at Kempton where he was always close to the pace and quickened nicely in the final furlong. The make up of this race should suit my selection with a number of hold up sorts in the field which could prove ideal for him if he can set or stay close to a steadyish pace and try to string them out on the home turn. Claimer Rob Hornby rides and he should prove tough to beat.
Good luck everyone.
