QPR v Wolves, January 23, 12.30pm
QPR are favourites at home this weekend and can be backed at 13/10. The travelling side, Wolves, are priced at 23/10 with the draw available at 21/10.
QPR were back to winning way last weekend with an impressive 3-0 victory away to Rotherham. Hoilett, Phillips and Polter all got on the scoresheet in the second half of the game as QPR took all three points. This would have given them a huge sigh of relief after going seven Championship games without a win, and hopefully a sign that they can get their season back on track. They are still 11 points adrift from the play-off places but will be looking for some repeat performances in the coming weeks. They’re facing a reasonably better outfit in the form of Wolves on Saturday afternoon, but the home advantage could play a key part in a game like this.
Wolves seen their good spell in the Championship come to an abrupt end last weekend. After winning four league games on the bounce they were brushed aside by Cardiff at their home ground and lost the game 3-1. Zyro looked to put Wolves back in the game just before half times but their hopes were diminished early in the second half when Cardiff reclaimed their two goal advantage. He is a player to look out for in the goalscorer market – he has bagged three goals in Wolves previous two games and is currently 6/1 to open the scoring this weekend. Wolves are eight points off sixth place in the running and will need to bounce back to form as soon as possible to keep their promotion hopes alive.
This game will probably be a bit closer than the market suggests and is probably one to avoid on an accumulator. For single backers, I would be turning towards the goalscorer markets.
Washington and Zyro both to score – 10/1
