QPR v Bristol City | Saturday 7 May | 12.30 kick off
Bristol City make the trip to London for their Saturday afternoon fixture against QPR. They can be backed at 21/10 as the outsiders of the two to take the three points. QPR are slightly better than even money to get the win, priced at 5/4. The draw can be backed at 12/5. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.
QPR will be disappointed not to be in contention for promotion at this stage of the season. They have failed to remain consistent which has ultimately led to their downfall. They have played good football but have been unable to see off games that they should really be winning. They have only won once in their last five games. Last time out they came up against table toppers Burnley and lost out on all of the points. QPR managed to hold out until the hour mark but fell behind and could not offer any response. They had more shots on target than their opponents so will be disappointed to leave empty handed and to not even get on the scoresheet.
Bristol City have been playing well in recent weeks, clearing themselves from the relegation zone. They have also been hitting the back of the net plenty, scoring averaging 2.3 goals in their last 10 games. Last time out they showed their ability to score goals and win when they met Huddersfield. Kodjia opened the scoring on the stroke of half time. Bryan doubles Bristol City’s leading the 64 minute and Kodjia got his brace just three minutes later. Tomlin capped off the scoring with a 77th minute goal. The game finished 4-0.
Even though neither side has a lot to play for, they will both want to show off a good game of football before the end of the season. This could be one of the few games that opens up with a few goals.
QPR to win & over 2.5 goals in the game – 5/2
