The Thunder thrashed the Golden State Warriors like we’ve never seen. Does that make OKC Thunder underdogs in Game 4?

The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals (9pm ET). The game follows a huge blow-out win by the Thunder in Game 3, one where they defeated the Warriors by 28 points. The Thunder now lead the series 2-1 and must approach Game 4 as a must-win situation as they cannot afford to give up home-court advantage in the series. However, nor can the Warriors afford to go down 1-3 in the series, making Game 4 a pivotal one on Tuesday night.
The Thunder are coming in as surprising underdogs in the game, priced at 11/10 with bet365 to win straight up. These two teams have been somewhat topsy-turvy in the series, exchanging blowouts in Games 2 and 3. For that reason, if bettors aren’t moved by OKC’s recent blowout of the Warriors then I think it’s understanding – a different game can easily produce a different result.
However, the Thunder should still be coming into this game as favorites in my view. They’ve got the home-court advantage and the blow-out loss they suffered earlier in the series was in Oakland. Furthermore, I like how the Warriors really had the goods at home against the Spurs last round in games 4 and 6.
Entering tonight’s game, I see OKC as more like 4/7 favorites as opposed to 11/10 ‘dogs. The spread is practically worthless (set +1.5) and so a straight up pick is the way to go.
