MK Dons v Nottingham Forest | Saturday 7 May | 12.30 kick off
Nottingham Forest make the trip to Milton Keynes on Saturday afternoon to battle it out with the Dons. The recently relegated MK Dons will be looking to give their fans something to cheer about before they start their League One campaign and they can be backed at 6/4 to take the three points. Forest are slightly less favoured in the betting for the win, priced at 7/4. The draw is available at 12/5. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, it was Forest who came out on top with a 2-1 win at home.
Down and out MK Dons will be more than disappointed to be facing the drop. They have played some good football this season but have failed to pick up the points they have needed to survive. They showed a lot of character last weekend against Ipswich. After going a goal down, Revell converted a penalty on the stroke of half time to get them back on level terms. After going behind again, Revell again put the ball in the back of the net in the 74th minute. They held on to the draw until the 90th minute but Ipswich sneaked in a last minute winner. This has been a trend for the Dons this season, however they will be looking to end the season on a high note.
After a shaky few weeks where Forest slipped down the table, they are now safe and can look forward to another season playing Championship football. With the clubs history as full as it is, they will feel they should be contending for promotion and will be a target for them next season. Last weekend they managed to squeeze out another point from Wolves. After going a goal down, they showed decent character to come back just 10 minutes later through a Gardner goal. Neither side could find the finishing touch and the game finished 1-1.
Both sides have little to play for, however will both be looking to end the season on a high note. This could lead to a relatively open game.
Correct Score 2-2 – 12/1
