Leeds v Bristol City, January 23, 3.00pm
The home side Leeds are just better than even money in this fixture and can be backed at 11/10. The travelling side, Bristol City, are available at 13/5. The draw is priced at 23/10. The last time these teams met earlier this season, the game was a stalemate in a 2-2 draw.
Leeds have been less than impressive in recent weeks with their last win coming before Christmas. Since then they have picked up just three points from a possible 15. Their silver lining was their victory against Rotherham in the FA Cup which puts them in the fourth round, but they desperately need to rectify their league form to avoid dropping any further down the table. They currently sit in 17th place, still a relatively comfortable eight points from the drop zone but can not really afford too many more slip ups.
Bristol City will know they have a tough game ahead of them but will try to exploit their opponents poor form to try get themselves out of the relegation zone. They were unlucky in there FA Cup effort to be knocked out by Premiership side West Brom in the replay midweek but got a major results last time out in the league. Burns bagged a 90th minute winner in their win against table toppers Middlesborough. They looked tough to beat in this fixture and will be hoping to do same to Leeds this weekend.
I think Bristol are worth a punt in this fixture. After their performance against Middlesborough the momentum slightly swings in their favour.
Correct score: Bristol City to win 1-0 – 8/1
