Tuesday the 26th of January sees racing action coming from Leicester, Southwell and Wetherbys in England while tramores card in Ireland has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
The good run continued again yesterday when my next best selection ARCHIPELAGO won @ odds of 8/1. My nap selection was a non runner. Let’s hope I can find you more winners this afternoon.
The first horse I like is DUNGANNON (nap) 3.20 at Southwell. From the Andrew Balding stable this horse was a winner here on new years day by a short margin but their should be lots of improvement from his opening season outing and he handles this surface well. The good draw is another bonus today and provided he gets away on terms here he should be very difficult to beat. Oisin Murphy is the man on board.
The next horse I like is NORSE LIGHT (nb) 1.20 at Leicester. From the stable of David Dennis this horse was a winner last season on the flat for Ralph Beckett before switching hands and also switched codes. He went off he boil at the end of last year but he has since been dropped slightly in grade and he has finished second on his two latest runs which suggests he could be ready to strike this afternoon. The ground and trip will be ideal for him and claimer G Malone takes a massive seven pounds off his back. He should go very close.
The other horse I like is ECO WARRIOR 3.35 at leicester. From the Venetia Williams stable this horse was a dual winner on the flat a year or so ago and then switched to hurdles where he proved a real disappointment. His first start in a chase came last time when he was pulled up but what is encouraging is that they put a pair of blinkers on him today which suggests they feel theirs more in this horse and I wouldn’t be at all surprised today to see a much improved showing and going very close. Aidan Coleman rides the horse.
Good luck everyone.
