Fulham v Bolton | Saturday 7 May | 12.30 kick off
Two sides nearer the other end of the table face off this weekend. Down and out Bolton make the trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon. Survivors Fulham are odds on favourites in the betting to take the three points, priced at 5/6. Bolton are the less favoured price of 29/10 for the win. The draw is also available at 29/10. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, the points were shared in a 2-2 draw.
Fulham have survived to fight another day in the Championship. After going through a spell of three wins on the bounce, they have failed to win in their last four fixtures. They have only picked up a single point in these four games, conceding 12 goals. Most recently they fell at the hands of Brentford. They conceded two goals early on and failed to respond. Brentford scored again just before half time. Fulham failed to respond in the second half and the game finished 3-0. Their silver lining has been McCormack and Dembele this season. McCormack is the second top goalscorer in the league and is one to look out for in the goalscorer market.
Bolton, who have been down and out for some time now, finally gave their fans something to cheer about at the weekend. They put a huge dent in Hull’s confidence before the play-offs on Saturday. Bolton were dominated in possession, as they would have expected, but they did the all important job of putting the ball in the back of the net. Dobbie scored just after the hour mark to give Bolton the lead, and it turned out to be enough to get the three points.
Both sides have little to play for, other than to give their fans something to cheer up. McCormack would like to add a goal or two to his tally and I think that’s what he’ll do.
McCormack to score a brace – 4/1
