Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park this Saturday, with Everton looking to build on the Leicester result.

The Toffees come into this match on the back of a 4-2 win against Leicester City, with the Toffees ending the Foxes great run of form.

It was a rapid start for the hosts, with homegrown Tom Davies scoring in just the first minute for the Toffees.

Islam Slimani (4) levelled for the Foxes just three minutes later, then Marc Albrighton gave the Foxes the lead just six minutes after that (10).

Goal machine Romelu Lukaku scored his first of the day (23), to give Everton parity and make it four goals in the match.

Phil Jagielka (41) scored his second goal in as many matches, giving Everton the 3-2 lead just before half time.

The second half was a much more sedate affair, with Romelu Lukaku scoring his second goal in the 57th minute, it was the only goal of the half.

Toffees In Mixed Form

Everton have been in mixed form of late, with three wins, two defeats and a draw in their last six matches.

Wins against Leicester, Hull City and West Brom have been sandwiched either side of defeats against Liverpool and Tottenham.

Everton have been in excellent goalscoring form of late, with the Toffees scoring 16 goals.

They find themselves in 7th place, three points behind United, who have two games in hand on the Blues.

Everton Favourites

Ronald Koeman’s side come into this match as favourites, with their excellent recent record informing the odds.

This will be a tough match for the Toffees, with Burnley looking for their first away win of this campaign.

Clarets Winless Away

Burnley come into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough, in a result that came as no surprise.

Middlesbrough continued their struggles in front of goal, failing to convert any of their 5 shots on target from 13 shots overall.

Burnley continued their poor away form, they are the only side in league football yet to register three away points.

They were blunted by a resolute Boro defence, with the Clarets unable to register more than two shots on target in 90 minutes.

Survival All But Assured

The club have seemingly completed their main objective this season though, with Premier League survival assured.

With 36 points they are in 12th position, eight above the relegation zone with 6 games to go.

Burnley’s form in their last six had been poor with just one win in their last six against Stoke, they are now two unbeaten.

Burnley Underdogs

The Clarets come into this match as the underdogs, with Dyche’s side yet to register an away win.

This will be a tough match for Sean Dyche and his men, with Everton enjoying an excellent season under Ronald Koeman.

Burnley will be looking to do the double over Everton, having registered a 2-1 win against the Toffees back in October.
