Betting tips and match preview | UEFA Champions League
Dinamo Zagreb welcome Juventus to the Maksimir Stadium, in the second round of matches from this season’s Champions League group stage games .
Zagreb come into this match on the back of a 3-0 win against Lyon, with goals from Tolisso (13), Ferri (49) and Cornet (57).
It was a miserable night for the Croatians, with 0 goals from 7 shots on target and 14 overall.
Good Domestic Season
They have also enjoyed a great domestic season, they find themselves third in their league with just the two defeats so far.
Their last match in the Croatian First League was a 1-0 against city rival Locomotive Zagreb 1-0.
They are just one point off the top of their domestic league, despite losing two games they are the favourites to win the league again.
Dinamo will be targeting a return to winning ways, although they don’t come much tougher than a tie against Juventus.
Zagreb reached the group stage of last season’s competition, where they were paired with the likes of Arsenal, Olympiacos and Bayern Munich.
It was a tough group and this season appears to be a little less difficult, with Juventus the favourites to progress, with Lyon and Sevilla the other challengers.
Zagreb will be looking to improve their record in the Champions League this season, in seven matches including qualifying they have played seven, won five, drawn one and lost just the once.
Juve Looking Imperious
Juventus come into this game on the back of 1-0 win away against Palermo in Serie A.
A Goldaniga own goal in the 49th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.
The narrow win was still enough to ensure that Juventus remain at the top of Serie A, just one point ahead of Napoli on 14 points.
Their game prior to that was a 4-0 win against Cagliari, in a far more convincing win for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.
Solid Season So Far
Juventus have started the season in excellent fashion, with five wins and a surprise defeat in their opening six matches.
The surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of Inter came at the San Siro, only Napoli now boast an unbeaten record in the Italian top flight.
Their best win of the season came in the 4-0 demolition of Cagliari, which saw Rugari, Higuain, Alves and Ceppitelli on the score sheet.
Five wins in their opening six games is an excellent start, with Juventus already the four time Champions of Serie A.
Juve Yet To Hit Their Straps
They find themselves top of Serie A after their haul at the weekend, Juventus will be delighted with their form going into their Champions League fixture.
Juventus drew their opening match of the Champions League 0-0 against Europa League winners Sevilla.
It was a tough match for both sides, with both sides cancelling each other out and Juve yet to hit their straps this season.
Both teams are 11/10 on to score. The first goalscorer odds for Dinamo Zagreb are El Arbi Hillel Soudani at 11/1 with Junior Fernandes at 12/1. For Juventus, Gonzalo Higuain is at 2/1 with Paulo Dybala at 7/2.
This is the first meeting between the two sides in European competition.
