Betting recommendation for the Stars vs. Rangers game on Tuesday night, one that will be busy in the National Hockey League.
By: Shane Lambert
The Dallas Stars have been in the New York area for the past few days and on Tuesday night they will complete a three-game road swing when they take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Heading into the game, the Stars will be looking to bounce back from two recent losses, one to the Devils and another to the Islanders.
For the most part in the 2015/16 season, road trips have been very fruitful for Dallas. However, on this little swing in particular the Stars only have one point in the standings. Over the weekend they fell to the New York Islanders, giving up six goals in the loss. However, the game was one that was still inspiring as Dallas fought to the bitter end, despite losing by three goals in the third period. With that in mind, a 6-5 loss certainly didn’t reflect a lack of heart.
When it comes to the Rangers, it’s not that bad of a time in the season to be playing against them. Earlier in the year New York were on fire, but December was an atrocious month – one that took them out of the Metro Division race for the time being and perhaps permanently. A 5-2 win over Tampa Bay on New Year’s Eve hinted at a promising January, but so far that promise has not materialized. The Rangers regressed back to their losing ways when Jaromir Jagr’s Panthers posted a 3-0 victory on Saturday night.
Dallas and NYR have not met yet in the current NHL season. Dallas’ recent double-whammy of losses might have some raising their eyebrows at the Stars, but in truth with the way Dallas have battled back so much in 2015/16 it’s really hard to picture them losing a third straight. Game time on Tuesday is at 7pm ET and the Stars should be posting at least a two-goal spread in this game.
