Betting tips and match preview | Premier League

Burnley welcome Everton to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, with both sides looking to get back to winning ways.

Sean Dyche’s side come into this match on the back of a 3-1 defeat against Southampton last weekend.

Goals from Charlie Austin (52, 66) were both from the penalty spot and Nathan Redmond (60) combined to ensure that Southampton went 3-0 up.

Sam Vokes also converted a penalty (72), in what was the third of the day and there could have been another early on, it was a small consolation for Sean Dyche’s side though.

Clarets In Poor Form

Burnley come into this match in poor recent form, losing three of their last four Premier League fixtures.

They have had a tough run, with Arsenal, Southampton, Leicester and Watford but they have failed to compete in two of those fixtures.

Arsenal were exceptionally lucky to produce the win though, with luck completely deserting Burnley after a valiant effort.

Sean Dyche’s side have lost five of their opening eight matches, with two wins and just one draw making up the remainder.

Burnley Underdogs

Burnley currently find themselves in 14th place, level on 7 points with West Ham United and Hull City.

They will be looking to register their third win of the season, they will be looking to end a run of successive defeats.

Their recent record against Everton is poor, they haven’t won in their last three meetings in the Premier League.

Everton Struggling

Everton travel to Turf Moor in poor form, they have failed to win in any of their last four games.

They drew their last fixture against Manchester City 1-1, a result that will feel like a win after keeper Maarten Stekelenburg saved two penalties.

Romelu Lukaku open the scoring against the run of play (64), with Nolito equalising with a header just eight minutes later.

Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne both saw penalties saved by Maarten Stekelenburg, another two points lost for Manchester City.

Everton Seek Momentum

Everton will have targeted a point against Burnley as a minimum requirement, they have seriously struggled in their last three Premier League games.

Ronald Koeman’s side had enjoyed an excellent start, with the defeat against Bournemouth their only defeat of the season so far.

The Toffee’s are still well placed in sixth position, they are just four points off top sides Manchester City and Arsenal.

Everton Favourites

Everton come into this match as favourites, they will be looking to register their fifth win of this new Premier League season.

This will be a tough fixture for the Toffee’s, given their own poor recent form and Burnley’s outstanding form at home.

Ronald Koeman’s side will be looking to maintain their overall record against Burnley, with 32 wins, 24 draws and 22 defeats from 78 matches.

Both teams are 1/1 on to score. The first goalscorer odds for Burnley are Sam Vokes at 17/2, with Ashley Barnes at 10/1. For Everton, Romelu Lukaku is at 3/1 with Enner Valencia at 5/1.

The last time that these two sides met Everton won 1-0 and the odds of the same result are 9/2.
