Brentford v MK Dons, December 5, 3.00pm
The home side are short priced favourites going into this game priced at 4/5, with the visitors, MK Dons an outside price available at 11/4. The draw can be backed at 9/4. Both sides have had matching form in November, both picking up five points from four fixtures.
Brentford would have wanted to be contending for a play-off place this season and feel they could have been closer to achieving this after a few poor results last month. However going into December they are just three points off target. With a couple of away fixtures to follow this weekend they will be desperate to make sure they pick up all three points against MK Dons this weekend. They would have been very disappointed to only pick up a single point from the out of form Bolton last time out and will have been working hard to ensure they can turn games like that into three points.
MK Dons will be relieved to be out of the bottom three after only winning four games out of eighteen this season. They will be very wary that they are teetering on the verge of the drop zone and only a single point clear. They will need a good month of December to be comfortably clear by Christmas. After this weekend they have couple of home fixtures so will in all likelihood be playing for the draw this weekend just to get a point on the board and push for wins in the following games.
However, they may have managed to keep out Wolves last weekend but I think Brentford are too good of a side not to convert in this fixture. With a play-off place over Christmas in their sights they will be looking to up their game and get into winning form for the turn of the year.
