Betting tips and match preview | Barclays Premier League

Bournemouth welcome Stoke to the Vitality Stadium looking to consign their 2-0 loss to Arsenal to the history books and Stoke are looking to end their alarming three game losing streak.

The Cherries have had an excellent season overall, they have 28 points with with 13 games left in the season they will be more than confident of surviving but even at this stage that isn’t guaranteed. They are three places above the relegation zone but have a cushion of five points between themselves and Norwich and the Canaries have been in abysmal form.

They will be confident of bouncing back from their defeat to Arsenal last weekend and with another home fixture against a side who aren’t in the greatest of form it could be another valuable three points in their quest to retain their Premier League status.

Stoke Need To End Rot

Stoke have had a rough run of results in recent fixtures, they have lost their last five games in all competitions, starting with the semi final loss to Liverpool in the Capital One Cup, followed by the FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace. They have been soundly beaten in their last three matches, with the scoreline of 3-0 in all of the matches against Manchester United, Everton and Leicester. They aren’t the easiest of fixtures but Stoke will be alarmed not by the defeats but by the margin of them, particularly when they have built such a solid defensive structure this season.

Mark Hughes will be desperate to see his side get back on track and register a win against Bournemouth, a win will do them the world of good and could reignite their bid to finish in the top seven in the Premier League, which was looking increasingly more likely than before this horror run started.

Bournemouth’s record heading into this match is two wins, two losses and two draws. Stoke have a record of four losses, one win and one draw in their last six fixtures.

Both teams are 1/1 on to score. The first goalscorer odds for Bournemouth are Benik Afobe at 9/2 and Joshua King at 5/1. For Stoke Joselu is 13/2 and Bojan is at 15/2.

This is the first time that these two sides have met at the Vitality Stadium in a Premier League fixture.
