Betting tips and match preview | FA Cup

High flying Arsenal host Burnley in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium, with both sides looking to continue their excellent league form and bring it into the FA Cup.

The hosts Arsenal have been one of the form sides in the Premier League this season and have the distinction of winning the FA Cup back to back, in a sense they are the double holders. The Gunners will be targeting Premier League glory this season and remain well placed to do so at this stage of the season, they remain in third position behind top side Leicester City but have shown a resilience this season that they haven’t always possessed. Their performance against Chelsea was very impressive considering they were without a man for the majority of the match after Per Mertesacker’s last ditch challenge resulted in a red card.

Burnley Resurgence Continues

Burnley come into this match in excellent form, they are in third place in the Championship and after their latest win against promotion rivals Derby they will be confident heading into the latter stages of the season. They faced Arsenal last year in the Premier League and by no means disgraced themselves and they will be confident of competing with an Arsenal side full of quality and confidence this season. Although an extended run in the cup would be an excellent financial motivation for the club their main priority is automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

Although league form doesn’t count for much in the FA Cup it’s worth noting, Arsenal come into this match with a record of three wins, two draws and one loss. The loss came in their last match against Chelsea, where they lost 1-0 against Chelsea at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger will be keen to avoid back to back defeats at home and it could see Mohammed Elneny make his debut and the return of a few key faces from injury as well.

For the visitors Burnley  their record in the last six is won five, drawn one. Their results are excellent and this Burnley side are in excellent form and will look to carry this into the FA Cup, their priority will remain promotion, with league fixtures against the Gunners next year a mouth watering prospect for the Lancashire based outfit. Their previous result was a thumping 4-1 win against rivals Derby County.

Both teams are 5/6 on to score. The first goalscorer odds for Arsenal are Olivier Giroud at 11/4 and Alexis Sanchez at 7/2. For Burnley Andre Gray is at 8/1 and Sam Vokes is at 11/1.

The last time these two sides played Arsenal won 1-0 and the odds of the same result are 13/2.
